We're on the Move!

June 20, 2018

You've likely driven past our location and seen that the ACAP building has sold! Our grand plan is to move to the old Fisheries Building on the Esplanade when it is all renovated for us. In the meantime we will be located at 77 Kings Road (behind the old courthouse/ACOA offices) as of July.

This move is an exciting step for ACAP as we will be moving to a building that is mindfully renovated for us and to a location proximate to the harbour and several park areas in the North End. This will enable us to easily run fieldtrips from our office.

Our new space will have a dedicated community room for instruction and presentations, and be the home of a small enviro store. We look forward to serving the community at our new location and we thank you for your patience in the coming months as we get moved and settle in.

ACAP Cape Breton

The Atlantic Coastal Action Program (ACAP) Cape Breton is an environmental non-profit community organization and registered charity.

ACAP Cape Breton has a vision for a community in which local people are actively engaged, working and learning together to build healthy and sustainable communities.

Established in 1992, the original mission was to develop a comprehensive ecosystem management plan for the watershed area of industrial Cape Breton.

ACAP Cape Breton has grown into a dynamic group that integrates environmental, social and economic factors into projects focusing on action, education and ecosystem planning.
