Wayne Williams, one of ACAP Cape Breton’s longest running employees, started working at ACAP in 2002 as an Environmental Supervisor. Within two years he moved up and began his role as Environmental Manager.

As ACAP Cape Breton’s Environmental Manager, Wayne oversees all science and monitoring projects, all restoration projects, as well as writing proposals and reports and monitoring various other outdoor jobs. While his main role is to direct staff, he enjoys getting out in the field and providing demonstrations on how to complete a variety of tasks efficiently and safely.

Wayne has an Environmental Technology Diploma from Memorial University, a Bachelor of Environmental Technology Degree from Cape Breton University, as well as a Watercourse Alteration Certificate from the Maritime College of Forest Technology and a Terrestrial Ecosystem Monitoring Protocols course from Acadia University.

An extensive education, along with a combined 8 years of work experience with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans and the Department of Environment, has made Wayne a true asset to ACAP Cape Breton.

In combination with a National Certification from the Energuide for Houses Program, his knowledge of houses, which includes extensive work experience in the carpentry industry, enables Bruce to deliver accurate, detailed assessments to homeowners.
