Volunteer Opportunity of the Month!

ACAP Cape Breton is a not for profit organization. Many of our projects would not be possible without volunteers, and we are always happy to welcome people who would like to help out.

February's Opportunity - ‘Take the Roof Off Winter’

ACAP Cape Breton is teaming up with Nova Scotia Health Promotion to encourage people to ‘Take the Roof Off Winter’. Organize an outdoor activity in your neighborhood, carpool or use active transportation to get to work, and engage your family in some outdoor fun. Maybe you would like to take advantage of a crisp, sunny day to do a quick community clean-up. Litter is a problem all year!  Whatever your idea, we would love to hear about it and feature you on our website.

January's Opportunity - Submit Your Ideas for ‘The Green Scene’

As many of you know, our Executive Director, Eleanor Anderson, pens a weekly column for the Cape Breton Post called The Green Scene. If you have an idea or a topic you would like to appear in this column over the next year, please let us know and then watch for it in Saturday’s edition of the Post.

November's Opportunity - ACAP Cape Breton's Stakeholders Meeting

Everyone is invited to a community Stakeholders Meeting to be held Monday November 16th at the Centre for Sustainable Communities at the corner of Townsend Street and George Street, Sydney, Nova Scotia. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. and refreshments will be served.

If you are interested please email ACAP Cape Breton or phone us at 567-1628.
