Refurbished Computer Sales

ACAP Cape Breton's Electronics Program continues to be a highly successful program in giving a second life to used electronics. Since it's inception our electronics program has refurbished thousands of personal computers which have then been redistributed to the general public as well as various other electronics. Watch for our annual computer giveaways in the local media.

If you are interested in obtaining a refurbished computer system through our program which includes: PC tower (with a Linux system installed), monitor, keyboard, mouse and all cables then please phone or email us for options and details. Subject to availability.

At the moment, we are not accepting donations of any electronics.

Electronics in good, working order can usually be donated to thrift stores such as Value Village.

Thank you for your understanding.

All donated hard drives are erased before redistribution.

For more information contact ACAP Cape Breton Phone (902)-567-1628.

We do not accept:

  • Computer towers over 8 years old (as a rule of thumb if it's beige or cream color we will not accept it)

  • Printers,

  • Fax machines

  • Copiers

  • All-in-ones

  • CRT computer monitors

  • Tube style televisions

These items may be taken to an EPRA recycling facility.

We would like to begin by acknowledging that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship” which Mi’kmaq Wəlastəkwiyik (Maliseet), and Passamaquoddy Peoples first signed with the British Crown in 1726.
