Help us reach our goal! Donate to our Adopt a Forest Program
With climate change accelerating the loss of biodiversity and threatening ecosystems, our Adopt a Forest program provides a hands-on way for citizens to take action and make a lasting difference.
With a single donation of $5, you can cover the cost of a new hardwood tree planted in a habitat restoration project.
Our mission is to support resilient, environmentally-sustainable communities across Unama’ki-Cape Breton.
Atlantic Coastal Action Program (ACAP) Cape Breton works directly on practical solutions that help protect and restore our natural environment. We are a charitable not-for-profit organization staffed by a passionate team of environmental scientists and educators.
Our work spans four core areas: Habitat Restoration, Environmental Monitoring, Environmental Education, and Waste Diversion.
We weave considerations of climate change adaptation and biodiversity conservation into all of our work.
ACAP offers a variety of services including forest and stream restoration, hands on environmental education, special events, community cleanups, internship placements, volunteer opportunities and so much more!
