Monitoring and Research

At ACAP, we a follow land-based and creative approach to research—learning from, and working alongside nature to enhance our restoration and conservation work.

ACAP Cape Breton has been monitoring and researching the Land and waterways of Cape Breton - Unama’ki for nearly three decades. We love working with community members, other organizations, and nature to learn more about the world around us so that we can be better stewards and friends of the environment.

Healthy ecosystems and communities are often linked; therefore, learning more about the natural environment and the species that live there can help us promote and protect the health and well-being of the Land and all those who call it home: humans, plants, and animals alike.
