We are currently accepting applications for board members until June 3rd, 2025
Thank you for your interest in joining the ACAP Cape Breton Board of Directors. Before proceeding with the following application, please ensure you have reviewed the following board responsibilities required to join the ACAP Cape Breton board:
Are a resident of Cape Breton/Unama'ki.
Are a member of ACAP Cape Breton or willing to sign up as a member.
Are willing and able to serve a two-year term starting September 2025 until September 2027.
Are willing and able to commit to regular meeting attendance through a hybrid model during lunchtime or evening hours (~ 6 meetings per year, every other month primarily via Zoom with some in-person meetings required).
Are willing and able to actively participate in board meetings, subcommittee meetings, the AGM (Annual General Meeting), and board training.
Are willing and able to engage in ACAP fundraising activities when required.
Are willing and able to commit to joining at least one sub-committee of the Board (sub-committee meetings are in the alternating months to the board meetings; willingness to participate in sub-committees is considered an asset.)
Are committed to adhering to the ACAP Cape Breton goals and values.
The board nominating committee will review all applications by early July 2025 and will put forward a recommendation to be voted on by the board membership.
Please note that the ACAP Cape Breton Board of Directors is a Governance and Policy Board, and not a working Board, when considering submitting an application.
