Riparian Zone Ready!
In Riparian Zone Ready, up to 20 youth will collaborate with a supportive team of mentors, scientists, and local government leaders to explore the challenges facing our local freshwater habitats and develop and implement their own solutions.
The adventure will take place through this summer until early summer 2026. We can’t wait to see what this group will accomplish!
What to Expect:
July 2025-Fall 2025: Youth will meet once every other week to learn about and investigate the challenges a local freshwater source faces and what appropriate interventions are needed to improve it. They will present their findings to the local council and suggest intervention methods.
Spring/Summer 2026: The youth will implement their interventions and present the results to their local council.
Throughout the project, participants will have access to ACAP staff, who can connect them with experts to assist them in addressing or understanding complex issues.
