Homeowner Flood Resilience Program 2026
ACAP Cape Breton is offering property assessments for homeowners in the Rotary Drive area, where residents can learn how to lower their flood risk and increase the water absorption and diversion on their properties.
This pilot project aims to determine how lot-level flood mitigation may reduce flooding for the overall area. Homeowners who opt for this free assessment can expect a written report with suggestions to reduce both their flooding risk and their impacts to the wastewater system. Partial rebates for suggested installations will become available as the project advances.
